Gail has produced and executive produced over 20 films including Doug McGrath’s Nicholas Nickleby (2002), De-Lovely (2004) with Kevin Kline and Ashley Judd, Blindness (2008), starring Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo, Man About Dog (2004) with director Paddy Breathnach, Brothers of the Head (2005) with directors Keith Fulton and Lou Pepe, and Fernando Meirelles’ award winning film, The Constant Gardener (2005), starring Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz, who won an Oscar for her performance in the film. 

She produced adaptations of John le Carré’s A Most Wanted Man (2014), directed by Anton Corbijn and starring Philip Seymour Hoffman and Rachel McAdams and Our Kind of Traitor (2016), directed by Susanna White starring Ewan McGregor, Stellan Skarsgaard, Naomie Harris and Damien Lewis. Her credits also include Alan Rickman’s A Little Chaos (2014), starring Kate Winslet and Matthias Schoenaerts, Trespass Against Us (2016) starring Michael Fassbender and Brendan Gleeson, Stanley Tucci’s Final Portrait (2017) starring Geoffrey Rush and Armie Hammer and an adaptation of Sarah Waters’ novel The Little Stranger (2018), directed by Lenny Abrahamson. Recent credits include Chiwetel Ejiofor’s acclaimed directorial debut The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind (2019), and the biopic of award-winning dancer Carlos Acosta, Yuli (2018). Gail executive produced Series 1 & 2 of Funny Woman (2022 & 2024) for Sky Max.

Gail also works closely with Mike Leigh, having executive produced Vera Drake (2004), Happy-Go-Lucky (2008), Another Year (2010), Mr Turner (2014) and Peterloo (2018) and Hard Truths (2024). She was executive producer on his most recent project, Tender Loving Care, which completed filming at the beginning of 2026. 

Gail recently produced Secret Service for ITVX, starring Gemma Arterton and Rafe Spall and is currently producing a screen adaptation of Conor McPherson’s award winning play, The Weir, starring Brendan Gleeson.
